Reflection of my Game plan

When I reflect on my teaching then and how It has changed now I must admit my self efficacy level has risen to higher heights. My Game Plan is to discontinue for teaching the traditional way. I know longer, want to lecture and be a chalk and talk teacher. I want to be able to impress upon my students the importance of technology, and integrate new literacies skills into content area. Sit back and relax to hear my views!!

  1. Hi Najele-
Wow! I really enjoyed the animation presentation you made. That was something different than I've seen before. I'm going to go to that web site and check it out! You really organized your thoughts well and it made it engaging to watch. You could probably even use this animation tool to teach short lessons to your students. Is there an option to use your own voice? Have you used this program with your students? Just by creating this to post your response for our class, you have shown that you are staying on top of the different options technology offers.

I liked how you used Xtranormal to create your video. I have played around with it, but have not incorporated it into my lessons yet. The ideas that you presented are very strong and I am sure that you will be successful as you make that switch from a chalk and talk teacher to a 21st century teacher. However, remember that chalk and talk does have its place in the classroom. AS teachers we must work to achieve the correct balance of both traditional lessons and lessons that utilize technology. Good luck with your endeavors.

  3. Najele, Your video was great. It was very engaging, and expressed your views. I agree that "chalk and talk" should give way to 21st century teaching using the 21st Century technology Literacies. Your blog post is a challenge to the rest of us to "keep up." Thanks.
